Heroes Comic Con in Stockham
In September, Glen attended Heroes Comic Con in Stockham and shown how he works in VR and 3D with Wacom and Gravity Sketch.
Wacom asked Glen to show how we integrate Gravity Sketch with a Wacom device. He showed the group how to start on a Wacom Cintiq with a Wacom pen to sketch out the design, then how to move it into VR and make it a full 3D model that can then be exported for all sorts of different uses.
The mix of 2D, 3D and VR is very liberating for the creator and that was one of the main reasons for Glens visit to sweden. He met first with several customers and showed how Wacom and Gravity Sketch interact and what it can be used for in their workflows. The week then concluded at Comic Con where he got to show this to a larger audience.
What do you think others can learn from how you work?
I hope people saw a different way of creating cool stuff. I notice that many 2D creators are a little afraid of 3D. To show how easy it is to use VR tools can sometimes bridge the gap between 2D and 3D with a smaller learning curve. I also hope they saw cool robots and had fun!
